Each row is our catalogue’s filing for an Albanian carrier, written as a place name. It is a label, not a guarantee: the address is drawn from that carrier’s pool, and a geolocation service may set it in another town. Once it is issued, run it through What Is My IP or the IP checker and keep the town and network they print with your notes.
Standard Albanian is official in Albania and in Kosovo, and co-official in North Macedonia and Montenegro, so one language can stand behind several country editions of a site. A regional publisher or retailer may serve each country its own. Loading the site from an Albanian address shows the edition chosen for AL, which you can then set beside editions collected for the other countries, with the country of each capture written down rather than inferred from the language.
The Albanian alphabet adds ë and ç to the Latin letters, and a query may arrive with them or without them. A keyword list for Albania should hold both spellings of a term and record what each one returns. Note which spelling the Albanian results favour, and whether a site's own search box treats the two forms as one word or as two.
An advertiser may set its Albanian copy in the standard language, or lean on Gheg wording to speak to a northern audience. Viewing the placements from an Albanian address shows which version actually reached the country, and lets a reviewer read the creative where it was bought to appear instead of trusting a preview tool.
Before we enable work with banking, health or government sites in Albania, we review the request. Raise it before you order if your work depends on one; the acceptable use policy lists the categories.
Albanian has two main dialects: Gheg, spoken in the north, and Tosk, spoken in the south, with the Shkumbin river as the rough line between them. A site may write for one, mix both in comments and reviews, or keep strictly to the standard. A text-matching tool tuned on one dialect can miss pages written in the other, so a corpus built from Albanian sites is better off keeping the dialect as a field of its own, next to the country.
The written standard rests mainly on Tosk. It became the unified literary language at the Orthography Congress held in Tirana in 1972, with its spelling rules published the following year; Kosovo had taken up the Tosk-based project in 1969. Critics say the standard sidelines Gheg speakers. Official pages and informal ones can therefore read quite differently, and a capture is worth tagging by register as well as by country.
Until the early twentieth century, Albanian writing developed in three literary traditions: Gheg, Tosk and Arbëreshë, the last of them carried by the Albanian communities of Italy. Albanian intellectuals meeting at the Congress of Manastir, today's Bitola, in November 1908 settled the alphabet: the Latin letters plus ë and ç, and nine digraphs such as dh, sh and xh. The congress came decades before the 1972 standard, so the letters were fixed long before the spelling of the standard language was. A text older than 1972 can therefore use the modern alphabet and still spell words in ways the standard later replaced.

The country and the carrier are fixed when you order, so the code carries neither. Put in the host, port, username and password that come with the address, send one request, and check that the response reports the country you ordered.
Albanian-language questions put to us before an order, with answers drawn from our catalogue and from the sources behind this page.
One carrier is listed for Albania today: Lumina Broadband. That is the way the catalogue files these addresses: by the network that announces them, as an IP lookup shows. It is a filing name, and nothing more than that.
Older Albanian texts spell words differently from today's because the alphabet and the spelling were settled at different times. The alphabet was fixed at the Congress of Manastir in 1908, while the unified literary language was approved only in 1972, with its spelling rules published in 1973. A text from between those dates can use today's letters and still spell words in an older way.
An Albanian keyword list should include Gheg forms if your audience includes northern Albania or Kosovo, because testing a few Gheg forms beside the standard ones costs little and shows whether the results differ. Keep the standard form as the anchor; it is the base of the written language.
Standard Albanian in Kosovo rests on the same Tosk-based project as in Albania: Kosovo adopted it in 1969, a few years before the Tirana congress of 1972 made it the unified literary language. In the long argument over the standard, critics hold that it sidelines Gheg speakers, and moderates are described as especially prevalent in Kosovo.
No: the dialect of an Albanian page does not tell you where it was published, since Gheg is spoken in northern Albania and beyond it, and the standard is official in Kosovo as well, so neither pins a page to one country. The domain, the publisher's own contact details and the country your capture was made from are better clues; write all three down.
Not necessarily. ProxyJam lists the network that announces the address; the registry record can name another holder, so check both with a lookup. IP Checker
No. A ProxyJam ISP proxy in Albania is chosen by carrier, not town; the address comes from that carrier's pool, so look up where it surfaces once issued. What Is My IP
No. A ProxyJam IP in Albania stays the same from the day you order to the end of the paid period.
ProxyJam has no free trial; a first order can be refunded within 24 hours, the window for testing the address on your own targets. Refund Policy
