Where our catalogue lists each carrier in Colombia

CarrierFrom / IP / monthWhere we list it
Lietpark Communications$5.38Bogota
Lumina Broadband$5.38Bogota

Our catalogue files every Colombian carrier under a place, and this table reproduces that filing. It is bookkeeping, not geography: the address comes out of the carrier’s pool and a geolocation database may set it in another town, which is why we promise none. Look it up once you have it, with What Is My IP through the proxy or the IP checker, and keep the country, the town and the network on file.

What is a Colombian IP good for?

How do I tell Colombian sites from borrowed .co?

A list of sites under .co mixes Colombian businesses with start-ups and link shorteners from everywhere, because the domain has been open to registrants worldwide since 20 July 2010. Visit each one from a Colombian address and note what it serves: a Colombian version priced in pesos, a redirect, or the page it shows the rest of the world. That tells you which entries belong in a Colombian study and which only borrowed the letters.

How do rankings differ between .com.co and .co?

Colombian businesses can register under .com.co, the second-level space built to mirror .com for local use, while others keep a bare .co or a .com. Rank tracking for Colombian keywords from a Colombian address shows which of those forms turn up for each query, and a fixed address keeps the comparison steady from one week to the next, so a move in the chart is a move in the results and not in your setup.

Do ads for Colombia land there?

A campaign for Colombia may send its clicks to a .co landing page, a .com.co one or a .com, and the brief should say which. Click through from an address on a Colombian carrier's network and confirm that the Colombian creative leads to the page approved for Colombia, priced in Colombian pesos if that was the brief. A dated screenshot from the Colombian address settles a dispute with a media seller faster than any description.

Do Colombian banks and portals need review?

Before opening a Colombian bank, health service or state portal (the state's own sites sit under the restricted .gov.co) we check the request by hand. Ask before ordering if your Colombia work needs one; the acceptable use policy lists what falls under this rule.

Three facts about .co and Colombia

Who can register a .co name?

Colombia's country code is CO and its domain is .co. Second-level .co names became available to any person or organisation in the world on 20 July 2010, after earlier phases reserved for trademark holders, and Google treats .co as a generic domain rather than a Colombian one. Single-letter names such as g.co and t.co are among its best-known uses, and neither belongs to a Colombian company.

What local spaces exist under .co?

.com.co and .net.co mirror the familiar structure for Colombian businesses and organisations and carry no registration restrictions; .gov.co, .edu.co, .mil.co and .org.co are restricted. A site under .com.co may say more about its intended audience than a bare .co, but the surer sign is what the site serves to a visitor from CO, and that is exactly what a Colombian address lets you read.

Who runs the .co registry?

The domain was delegated to the Universidad de los Andes in 1991 and passed in 2010 to .CO Internet S.A.S. in Bogotá, which Neustar bought in 2014; GoDaddy acquired Neustar's registry business in 2020 and became the operator, with the ministry now called MinTIC overseeing its policies. A .co name and the address of the server behind it are recorded separately, so the name says nothing about where that server is.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about Colombian IPs and the .co domain, answered from our catalogue and from a lookup.

Which carriers do you list in Colombia?

ProxyJam lists these carriers for Colombia, spelled as the catalogue spells them: Lietpark Communications, Lumina Broadband.

If a site ends in .co, is it Colombian?

A site that ends in .co is not necessarily Colombian. Anyone in the world has been able to register a .co name since July 2010, and Google treats the domain as generic. Visit the site from a Colombian address: a Colombian business may show a local version in pesos, while a borrowed .co may serve exactly what it serves everywhere.

Who runs the .co registry today?

GoDaddy has operated the .co registry since it bought Neustar's registry business in 2020, under policies the ministry now called MinTIC oversees. The registry's records say who holds a name; whether the site behind it serves anything Colombian is a separate question, and only a visit from CO answers it.

Do .co sites geolocate their visitors at all?

Some .co sites geolocate their visitors and some do not; that is each site's choice. A Colombian address lets you find out which kind a given site is: if it serves one version to CO and another elsewhere, it geolocates, and the Colombian version is the one to study.

Why would a Colombian brand use .com.co instead of .co?

Because the second-level .com.co space was set up for local businesses, mirroring .com, a Colombian brand may pick it to read as Colombian or because the .co it wanted was taken. If you track a brand, track both forms; the Colombian address shows which one the brand sends a Colombian visitor to.

Is the carrier's name the company that owns the address?

Not necessarily. ProxyJam lists the network that announces the address; the registry record can name another holder, so check both with a lookup. IP Checker

Can I choose the town?

No. A ProxyJam ISP proxy in Colombia is chosen by carrier, not town; the address comes from that carrier's pool, so look up where it surfaces once issued. What Is My IP

Does the IP change during the period?

No. A ProxyJam IP in Colombia stays the same from the day you order to the end of the paid period.

Can I try it before committing?

ProxyJam has no free trial; a first order can be refunded within 24 hours, the window for testing the address on your own targets. Refund Policy

Is using proxies in Colombia legal?

We give no legal advice; check the rules that apply to your work. Some targets are reviewed before we enable work with them, as the acceptable use policy sets out. Acceptable Use Policy
