Rows here are filing labels: the place our catalogue lists each Cypriot carrier under. You choose the carrier and receive an address from its pool, which a lookup may set in a town other than the one in the row. Check it after issue with What Is My IP through the proxy, or with the IP checker, and date what you find.

Where does a Cypriot IP earn its place?

How do my own disclosures look from Cyprus?

A firm licensed in Cyprus sells into other EU markets on that licence, and its public pages may differ by visitor country: the risk warning, the legal entity named in the footer, the products on offer. A compliance team checking its own firm's pages can view the version shown in Cyprus from a Cypriot address. Trading and investment sites count as financial services, so tell us the targets before you order.

Can I keep a dated archive of public pages?

Cypriot rules on retail trading have changed over time: binary options were brought under regulation in 2012 and banned for retail clients in 2019. Researchers following such changes can capture public pages from a Cypriot address on a fixed schedule. Pages from before 10 July 2019 and after it describe different products to retail clients, and dated captures keep the two apart, with the temporary ban of July 2018 marked in between. Keep the archive to public pages; anything behind a client login stays out of it. Trading sites are financial services under our acceptable use policy, so tell us before ordering which ones the archive covers.

What do trading ads say after the binary-options ban?

Since 10 July 2019 binary options may not be offered to retail traders under CySEC's permanent ban. A firm buying trading ads that run in Cyprus, or an affiliate network placing them, can check from a Cypriot address that no creative or landing page served there still promotes them. Trading sites are financial targets, so name them to us before you order.

Do Cypriot banks and brokers need review?

Financial, health and government sites in Cyprus, investment firms included, are opened only after a review on our side. Ask before you order if your work involves one; the acceptable use policy lists the categories.

Cyprus and its securities regulator

What is CySEC?

The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission was launched in 2001 as a public body, with its headquarters in Nicosia. It supervises the Cyprus Stock Exchange and its listed companies, brokers, investment firms, investment funds and their managers; it licenses investment firms and can impose sanctions. It also runs certification for investment firm staff, with Basic and Advanced certificates and one for anti-money-laundering compliance officers. A firm's footer can claim a licence; the regulator's own records are what confirm one.

How does a CySEC licence reach the EU?

When Cyprus joined the EU in 2004, CySEC became part of the European MiFID framework, which gave firms registered in Cyprus access to all European markets. That is why a brand selling to a visitor elsewhere in the EU may name a Cypriot company in its terms. The commission is a voting member of the Board of Supervisors of ESMA, the EU securities authority, and sits on the European Systemic Risk Board.

What happened to binary options?

In 2012 CySEC reclassified binary options as financial instruments, the first regulator to recognise and regulate them as such. A temporary ban followed in July 2018, and on 10 July 2019 a permanent ban on offering them to retail traders. Pages captured on either side of those dates describe different rules, so keep the date with every capture.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about Cypriot addresses and the CySEC licence that tends to come up beside them, answered against our catalogue.

Which carriers do you list in Cyprus?

A single carrier is on the list for Cyprus right now: Lumina Broadband. What you read is the advertising network for these addresses, exactly as third-party tools report them. It sorts the stock for you; the identity of whoever runs household connections in the country is not something it settles.

Who certifies staff at Cypriot investment firms?

CySEC, the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission, certifies staff at Cypriot investment firms. It runs certification for investment firm staff, with a Basic and an Advanced certificate and a separate certificate for anti-money-laundering compliance officers. A firm's pages may cite those certificates; the regulator is where they are confirmed.

Why does a trading site name a company in Cyprus?

A trading site names a company in Cyprus because it may hold a CySEC licence. Since Cyprus joined the EU in 2004, firms registered there have had access to European markets under the MiFID framework. The site's legal page names the entity, and the regulator's records confirm whether the licence is real. A licence from another EU regulator would point elsewhere, so read the page rather than assume.

Can I check a broker's Cypriot pages through the proxy?

Checking a broker's Cypriot pages through a ProxyJam proxy starts with verification, because investment and trading sites are financial services, a regulated sector we verify before opening access. Write to us with the targets first; a firm checking its own pages, or legitimate research on public ones, is what the acceptable use policy expects you to describe. Acceptable Use Policy

Why does an older capture mention binary options when a newer one does not?

An older capture of a Cypriot trading site mentions binary options when a newer one does not because the rules changed in between: CySEC banned offering binary options to retail traders temporarily in July 2018 and permanently on 10 July 2019. Keep the date with each capture so the change reads as a change in the rules.

Is the carrier's name the company that owns the address?

Not necessarily. ProxyJam lists the network that announces the address; the registry record can name another holder, so check both with a lookup. IP Checker

Can I choose the town?

No. A ProxyJam ISP proxy in Cyprus is chosen by carrier, not town; the address comes from that carrier's pool, so look up where it surfaces once issued. What Is My IP

Does the IP change during the period?

No. A ProxyJam IP in Cyprus stays the same from the day you order to the end of the paid period.

Can I try it before committing?

ProxyJam has no free trial; a first order can be refunded within 24 hours, the window for testing the address on your own targets. Refund Policy

Is using proxies in Cyprus legal?

We give no legal advice; check the rules that apply to your work. Some targets are reviewed before we enable work with them, as the acceptable use policy sets out. Acceptable Use Policy
