Each row is the place our catalogue files a Norwegian carrier under, nothing more precise. An address is issued from the chosen carrier’s pool, and a geolocation database may put it in a different town, so the town is never part of the promise. After issue, open What Is My IP through the proxy or paste the address into the IP checker, and note the country, the town and the network it reports.
The labelling duty follows advertising aimed at Norwegian consumers, and a foreign advertiser is not exempt because its agency works from elsewhere. A campaign may run one creative in Norway and another abroad, so the version to inspect is the one a Norwegian visitor gets. Open the placements from a Norwegian address and record whether a retouched creative carries the label, which corner it sits in, and whether a film keeps it on screen to the end. An advertiser can run the same pass over its own campaigns before a complaint does it instead.
Under the guideline, a paid post is advertising whether or not it is the influencer's honest opinion, and the retouching label then doubles as the advertising mark. A brand that pays creators for Norwegian reach can review the sponsored posts from an address in Norway and keep dated captures of what went out with the label and what went out without it. Any work on accounts stays with accounts the brand owns or is authorised to manage, inside each platform's rules.
The rule is not retroactive, so advertising first published before 1 July 2022 needs no label after the fact. A relaunch counts as new material, though, and a campaign that reuses an older shoot has to be labelled the second time round. Captures taken from a Norwegian address and filed with their dates are a plain record of when a creative first appeared in Norway and when it came back, which is the date the rule looks at.
Our acceptable use policy treats financial services, healthcare and government systems as regulated sectors. If your Norwegian work touches a bank, a health service or a state portal, tell us before ordering and we verify it first.
The Marketing Control Act requires the label, and a regulation on labelling retouched advertising sets its design, its size and its position. The mark carries the Norwegian word REKLAME, so one label says both that the content is advertising and that a person in it was retouched. It comes in a light and a dark version, whichever stands out better against the background, and sits in the upper left corner below any username or platform filter. In a film it stays visible for the full length, even while the retouched person is off screen.
The duty applies when a person's body shape, size or skin has been changed by retouching or other manipulation, and filters and lenses count as manipulation. The regulation sets no minimum, so removing a single pimple is enough to need the mark. Make-up, styling and lighting done before the picture is taken fall outside it, as do brightness or colour adjustments that leave the body alone and images with no people in them. Obvious parody can go unlabelled when the alteration itself makes the change plain.
Advertisers carry the duty, together with everyone paid to create the advertising: influencers, photographers, designers and film-makers. Agencies, publishers and others who contribute can be liable alongside them. The Consumer Authority enforces the rule and can impose penalties, with appeals heard by the Market Council. Where retouching is suspected, the advertiser has to prove it did not take place, so the guideline advises keeping the original files.

The country and the carrier are fixed when you order, so the code carries neither. Put in the host, port, username and password that come with the address, send one request, and check that the response reports the country you ordered.
What buyers ask about Norwegian addresses and the retouched-advertising label, answered from the Consumer Authority's guideline and our catalogue.
ProxyJam lists these carriers for Norway, spelled as the catalogue spells them: Lietpark Communications, Lumina Broadband.
Yes: the Norwegian label rule applies to ads from foreign brands when they target Norwegian consumers. The Consumer Authority's guideline says foreign advertisers and creators must label retouched or manipulated advertising aimed at Norway, so the version a Norwegian visitor is shown is the one to check.
Retouched ads in Norway have needed a label since 1 July 2022. Advertising published before that date does not have to be labelled afterwards, but material relaunched later is treated as new and needs the mark.
Yes, a filter on a sponsored post in Norway can count as retouching. The guideline treats filters and lenses that change body shape, size or skin as manipulation and sets no minimum for the change. A filter that only lifts the brightness, or alters nothing about the person, falls outside the rule.
On a Norwegian ad the label goes in the upper left corner, below any username or social media filter, or in another corner when a different mandatory mark already occupies that one. In a film it stays visible from the first frame to the last.
Not necessarily. ProxyJam lists the network that announces the address; the registry record can name another holder, so check both with a lookup. IP Checker
No. A ProxyJam ISP proxy in Norway is chosen by carrier, not town; the address comes from that carrier's pool, so look up where it surfaces once issued. What Is My IP
No. A ProxyJam IP in Norway stays the same from the day you order to the end of the paid period.
ProxyJam has no free trial; a first order can be refunded within 24 hours, the window for testing the address on your own targets. Refund Policy
