Electronic vignettes replaced paper stickers on 1 January 2016, and since then motorists have had only the electronic vignette, bought through eznamka.sk, its app or points of sale. The payment receipt shows the licence plate entered, which is how a buyer checks it. Lighter vehicles need one to use Slovak motorways, while heavier vehicles pay a distance-based electronic toll instead. A purchase that leaves nothing on the glass puts the whole weight on the buyer knowing which website is the real one.

### Which channels sell the Slovak vignette?

NDS, the Slovak motorway company, names the official channels: the eznamka.sk website, the eznamka mobile app and official points of sale. Its January 2026 notice calls eznamka.sk the only official website selling electronic motorway vignettes. Any other site offering the same product online is, at the very least, not the official channel. Official text messages go out only when a request is submitted, when a vignette is bought, and as a reminder before one expires.
