A row here is our catalogue’s filing of a British carrier under a town, and nothing more. The IP is drawn from that carrier’s pool, and geolocation databases decide its town on their own, which is why no town is promised. After it is issued, test it with What Is My IP or the IP checker: expect GB in the country field, then read the town and the announcing network beside it.
Run the British accounts you own, or the ones a client has authorised you to manage, from a single GB address for the whole term. When a sign-in history shows one carrier week after week, the origin is easier to explain to a security review than a string of unrelated places. Give each account its own address and note which IP belongs to which login, so a colleague can still tell them apart months later.
Pound prices, British delivery options and the cookie notice a reader in Britain gets: capture them from a GB address and you hold the page as the United Kingdom is served it. The address does not move between captures, so this week's screenshot lines up with last week's. Since Brexit, a retailer serving Britain and the EU from one site may treat VAT, returns and delivery differently on each side, and the GB address shows you the British side.
A targeting menu may call the country United Kingdom while a lookup of the address reports GB; both name the same place. Open the placements from a carrier-network address in Britain and confirm the British creative and its landing page appear. If one plan books Britain and Ireland together, run the Irish half from an Irish address, because the two are easy to confuse when a campaign is set up.
British results are their own index: high-street retailers, British publishers and .co.uk domains rank for queries that return American pages from anywhere else. Rank tracking for UK keywords needs a GB origin, and a fixed address keeps the weekly comparison honest. Spelling matters too: colour and favourite are searched differently from their American forms, and the results follow the spelling.
Our acceptable use policy names financial services, healthcare and government systems as regulated sectors, and their targets are verified before we enable work with them. If a British project of yours reaches one, write to us first.
ISO 3166 has listed the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland as GB since 1974, so a Northern Irish address carries GB just as an English or Scottish one does. UK sits in the standard only as an exceptionally reserved code, kept at the United Kingdom's request. The web domain went the other way: .uk came first, and .gb, introduced in 1985, never caught on and takes no new registrations. A hand-written country filter that expects UK will reject a perfectly British address.
The three Crown Dependencies have held codes of their own since 2006: JE for Jersey, GG for Guernsey and IM for the Isle of Man. Gibraltar has been GI since 1974. A report that keeps only GB therefore leaves visitors from all four out, and one that counts them as British has to add their codes on purpose, in analytics segments and spreadsheets alike.
The carrier on our list is whichever network announces the address's range to the rest of the internet. The range's holder is recorded separately, in the RIPE NCC database for Europe, the Middle East and parts of Central Asia, and that record may name a company the carrier routes for. A lookup prints both names; compare them before relying on either, and expect the brand on a British broadband bill to be a third name again.

The country and the carrier are fixed when you order, so the code carries neither. Put in the host, port, username and password that come with the address, send one request, and check that the response reports GB.
The GB code, the islands with codes of their own, and whose name sits on an address: what buyers ask about Britain, answered from the carriers in our catalogue.
ProxyJam lists these carriers for the United Kingdom, spelled as the catalogue spells them: Lietpark Communications, Lumina Broadband, Pro Marketing Central LLC, Sc Technological Sr.
Your UK address says GB because that is the code ISO 3166 gives the whole United Kingdom, Northern Ireland included, and registries and geolocation databases copy it. UK is reserved in the standard and absent from those records, yet the European Commission writes UK in its own documents, so both forms can meet in one workflow. If your tooling expects UK, map GB onto it.
A UK lookup can show JE, GG or IM because those are Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man, separate ISO entries since 2006. Our British addresses come from the carriers on the GB list, and we promise no particular lookup result, so read the country field once the address is issued. If your own filter has to cover the islands, add their three codes to it.
The carrier's name is not always the company that owns a UK address. The carrier we list announces the address range, and the RIPE record may name a different holder on whose behalf the carrier routes it. Put the address through a lookup and compare the two names before either goes into a report. IP Checker
No. A ProxyJam ISP proxy in the United Kingdom is chosen by carrier, not town; the address comes from that carrier's pool, so look up where it surfaces once issued. What Is My IP
No. A ProxyJam IP in the United Kingdom stays the same from the day you order to the end of the paid period.
ProxyJam has no free trial; a first order can be refunded within 24 hours, the window for testing the address on your own targets. Refund Policy
A site can serve Britain and the EU differently, so a ProxyJam ISP proxy in the United Kingdom lets you capture the page a British visitor is shown. Since Brexit, a retailer running one site for both sides may handle VAT, returns and delivery separately for each. The address stays fixed for the whole paid period, which keeps this week's capture comparable with last week's, and the price in pounds and the cookie notice come from the same GB origin each time.
Yes, a ProxyJam ISP proxy in the United Kingdom gives your rank checks a GB origin, and the address is held for the whole period, so each weekly comparison starts from the same point. British results are their own index, where high-street retailers and .co.uk domains rank for queries that return American pages from anywhere else. Spelling matters too, because colour and favourite are searched differently from their American forms, so word your queries the British way.
