Our catalogue files each UAE carrier under a place, and the row repeats that filing without promising anything about where the address lands. You pick the carrier and the address comes from its pool; a geolocation database may name any emirate or city for it. Check it after delivery with What Is My IP or the IP checker and keep the reading on file.
What does the bar look like where it started? A Dubai chocolatier first sold it in 2022 as Can't Get Knafeh of It: milk chocolate around a pistachio-tahini cream with chopped kadayif, the shredded pastry of knafeh. Capture the maker's pages and UAE listings from an address in the UAE, and keep their wording on origin and ingredients as the yardstick for every copy you meet elsewhere.
Courts have disagreed on whether the phrase names a place or a style, and a result page for it may mix both readings with recipes and news of the court cases. Sort the pages that rank for Dubai chocolate, captured from a fixed UAE address, by what each one means by it: a bar made in Dubai, a bar in the style made elsewhere, a recipe, a report. The mix you record is evidence of how the phrase is used, not an opinion about it.
The first Cologne ruling turned on an origin line printed small on the back of a pack. Read an ad for a Dubai-named bar the same way: is the place of manufacture stated near the name, or only further on in small type? Seen through a UAE carrier's network, sellers in the country itself word the claim their own way, which makes a useful contrast with the foreign ads in the same review.
If you sell a bar under the name, on your own store or a client's you are authorised to run, check its UAE product page from a UAE address: where it is made, stated close to the name; what it contains; and no wording that implies Dubai if the bar comes from somewhere else. Different courts have reached different conclusions, so keep a dated copy of the page as it stood each time you changed it.
If a UAE target sits in financial services, healthcare or government systems, it is on our acceptable use policy's regulated list, and we review the intended use before it goes ahead; message us first.
The bar was first released in 2022 by a Dubai chocolatier, under the name Can't Get Knafeh of It. It is milk chocolate filled with a pistachio-tahini cream and chopped kadayif. Social media influencers popularised it in 2024, TikTok above all, and copies made in other countries followed under names that use the word Dubai.
In January 2025 a Cologne court barred a German discount chain from selling a Turkish-made bar sold under a Dubai name. The average consumer, it held, would take the name to mean the bar was made in Dubai, and an Origin: Turkey line on the back, placed there in small type, was not enough to clear up the misunderstanding.
In late June 2025 the Cologne Higher Regional Court held that Dubai Chocolate is a geographical indication of origin, because consumers expect the product to come from Dubai. Chambers of the regional court had disagreed before that. The UAE has not signed the Geneva Act of the Lisbon Agreement, and most legal scholars, as Wikipedia summarises them, regard the name as generic in the EU market.

The country and the carrier are fixed when you order, so the code carries neither. Put in the host, port, username and password that come with the address, send one request, and check that the response reports the country you ordered.
What buyers ask about a UAE address and Dubai chocolate, answered from the court record, the product's history and our catalogue; nothing here is legal advice.
A single carrier is catalogued for the United Arab Emirates: Lumina Broadband. The name tracks the network announcing the addresses, so an outside lookup agrees. Nothing in it points to whoever runs local infrastructure in the emirates, or to the company providing your own internet service.
Dubai chocolate is a bar first made in Dubai and released in 2022: milk chocolate filled with pistachio-tahini cream and chopped kadayif. The name is now also used for bars in the same style made elsewhere.
For Dubai chocolate in Germany, the Cologne Higher Regional Court held in late June 2025 that the name is a geographical indication of origin, and barred a discount chain from using it for a bar made in Turkey. Other courts and markets may differ.
An origin line on the back of a Dubai chocolate pack was not enough in the Cologne case of January 2025. The court found that an Origin: Turkey line on the back, in small type, did not clear up the impression the front name gave.
Dubai chocolate is not a protected origin name everywhere: no single rule covers every market. The UAE has not signed the Geneva Act of the Lisbon Agreement on geographical indications, and the prevailing scholarly view, in Wikipedia's summary, is that the name is generic in the EU.
Not necessarily. ProxyJam lists the network that announces the address; the registry record can name another holder, so check both with a lookup. IP Checker
No. A ProxyJam ISP proxy in the United Arab Emirates is chosen by carrier, not town; the address comes from that carrier's pool, so look up where it surfaces once issued. What Is My IP
No. A ProxyJam IP in the United Arab Emirates stays the same from the day you order to the end of the paid period.
ProxyJam has no free trial; a first order can be refunded within 24 hours, the window for testing the address on your own targets. Refund Policy
