## How will Uzbek text change after the alphabet switch?

### How do I track spelling pairs as a dated series?

Every keyword written with oʻ, gʻ, sh or ch will have a second spelling from 22 April 2027. Set the pairs up now, before the date, and capture the results for both from one fixed Uzbek address on a regular day; the first capture in which a ranking page writes Ö or Ş for a word dates that page's switch. Words with ch and gʻ change as well, so the pairs cover more of the list than the oʻ words alone.

### How do captures span the Uzbek switch?

Uzbek pages captured before and after the change may spell the same word differently, and even today the mark in oʻ may arrive as U+02BB, a curly quote or a straight apostrophe. Normalise the variants of the mark to one form before comparing captures, and keep each capture's date, so a spelling change is read as the reform rather than as an edit. Do the same for gʻ, which arrives in the same variants.

### Will my name fields accept the new Uzbek letters?

An Uzbek form will need to accept Ö, Ğ, Ş and Ç after April 2027, while still taking oʻ and gʻ typed with any of the marks people use today. Through an address in Uzbekistan, enter both spellings of a name into your own form, and confirm that it stores them as entered and finds a record whichever spelling is searched. Test the sort order too, since a list sorted by the old letters may place the new ones elsewhere.

### How will brand names look under the new letters?

A brand or product name written with sh, ch, oʻ or gʻ has an old and a new spelling after 22 April 2027, and each advertiser chooses when to switch. For the campaigns you audit, list the name in both spellings first, then search the placements you capture through an Uzbek carrier's network for each; the first placement in the new spelling dates the advertiser's move.

### Do regulated Uzbek targets wait for us?

An Uzbek target in financial services, healthcare or government systems is, under our acceptable use policy, a regulated one. We verify such uses one by one, so contact us before the order.

## Quick Setup for ISP Proxies in Uzbekistan

The country and the carrier are fixed when you order, so the code carries neither. Put in the host, port, username and password that come with the address, send one request, and check that the response reports the country you ordered.

### Python

Send a request through the Uzbekistan address with Python requests.

```
import requests
# HOST, PORT, USERNAME, PASSWORD come with your order (dashboard or API)
proxy = "http://USERNAME:PASSWORD@HOST:PORT"
proxies = {
    "http": proxy,
    "https": proxy,
}
response = requests.get(
    "https://example.com/",
    proxies=proxies,
)
print(response.status_code)
```

### Node.js

Route axios through the Uzbekistan address in a few lines.

```
import axios from "axios";
import { HttpsProxyAgent } from "https-proxy-agent";
// HOST, PORT, USERNAME, PASSWORD come with your order (dashboard or API)
const proxy = "http://USERNAME:PASSWORD@HOST:PORT";
const agent = new HttpsProxyAgent(proxy);
const response = await axios.get(
  "https://example.com/",
  {
    httpAgent: agent,
    httpsAgent: agent,
  },
);
console.log(response.status);
```

### cURL

One command, one request, one address in Uzbekistan in the response.

```
# HOST, PORT, USERNAME, PASSWORD come with your order (dashboard or API)
curl -x http://USERNAME:PASSWORD@HOST:PORT \
     https://example.com/
```

## How Uzbek is written in Latin letters

### Which scripts does Uzbek use today?

Latin script was officially reintroduced in Uzbekistan in 1993, alongside Cyrillic. The switch was first meant to be complete by 2000, but both scripts are still in use, so Uzbek text online may come in either script.

### What is the mark inside oʻ and gʻ?

The current Latin orthography writes oʻ and gʻ with U+02BB, a modifier letter shaped like a turned comma, and uses U+02BC, the tutuq belgisi, for a glottal stop or a long vowel. Because most keyboards and many fonts lack them, Uzbek websites often type a curly quote or a plain apostrophe instead. The tutuq belgisi is a different character from the mark in oʻ, though the two can look alike in many fonts.

### Which letters change in the new alphabet?

A law signed on 21 October 2026 replaces Sh, Ch, Oʻ and Gʻ with Ş, Ç, Ö and Ğ, and drops Ng as a separate unit. The Senate had approved the amendments on 10 September 2026, and the law comes into force on 22 April 2027. Documents, banknotes and securities issued under the current alphabet remain valid, so older spellings may stay in circulation alongside the new ones.

## Frequently asked questions

Questions buyers send us about Uzbek addresses and Uzbek spelling, answered from the 2026 law and our catalogue.

### Which carriers do you list in Uzbekistan?

For Uzbekistan we show one carrier, Lumina Broadband. The reason is simple: that network announces the addresses, and a lookup says so too. The label organises the catalogue, and it should not be read as naming the operator of local lines or of the connection at your desk.

### When does the new Uzbek alphabet take effect?

The new Uzbek alphabet takes effect on 22 April 2027. The law was signed on 21 October 2026, after the Senate approved it on 10 September 2026. Documents issued under the current alphabet remain valid after that date, and pages may switch at different speeds.

### Which letters change in the new Uzbek alphabet?

In the new Uzbek alphabet, Sh, Ch, Oʻ and Gʻ become Ş, Ç, Ö and Ğ, and Ng stops counting as a separate unit. Text written before the change keeps the old letters, so expect both in captures. The new alphabet keeps one apostrophe beside its letters.

### Which character is the mark in oʻ and gʻ?

The mark in oʻ and gʻ is U+02BB, a modifier letter shaped like a turned comma. Many sites type a curly quote or a straight apostrophe in its place. U+02BC, the tutuq belgisi, is a separate character with a different job.

### Should a search index treat oʻ, o‘ and o' as one letter?

A search index for Uzbek should treat those spellings as one letter, and from April 2027 Ö as well. Map every variant to one form when you index, and keep the text as written for display.

### Is the carrier's name the company that owns the address?

Not necessarily. ProxyJam lists the network that announces the address; the registry record can name another holder, so check both with a lookup.

### Can I choose the town?

No. A ProxyJam ISP proxy in Uzbekistan is chosen by carrier, not town; the address comes from that carrier's pool, so look up where it surfaces once issued.

### Does the IP change during the period?

No. A ProxyJam IP in Uzbekistan stays the same from the day you order to the end of the paid period.

### Can I try it before committing?

ProxyJam has no free trial; a first order can be refunded within 24 hours, the window for testing the address on your own targets.

### Is using proxies in Uzbekistan legal?

We give no legal advice; check the rules that apply to your work. Some targets are reviewed before we enable work with them, as the acceptable use policy sets out.
